XF-250 BIO SPONGE FILTER

The XF-250 Bio Sponge Filter is a reliable and efficient filtration system specially designed for medium-sized aquariums. Unlike power filters, it operates using an air pump (not included), making it highly energy-efficient and safe for small and delicate aquatic life.

This filter features a dual sponge design, which increases the filtration surface area and supports the growth of beneficial bacteria. These bacteria help break down harmful toxins like ammonia and nitrites, ensuring a healthy and balanced aquatic environment.

With a filtration capacity suitable for tanks up to 150 liters (2–3 ft aquariums), the XF-250 delivers both mechanical filtration (trapping debris) and biological filtration (toxin breakdown). It can achieve high filtration efficiency (over 95%) and supports strong water circulation when connected to a proper air pump.

The gentle bubbling action provides aeration and oxygen supply, making it ideal for breeding tanks, shrimp tanks, and fry tanks where strong currents can be harmful.
